MONDAY NIGHT'S FIGHT Thrilling fighting is expected when Frank Taylor, Now Zealand's best bantam-weight, meets Pal Costa, the brilliant New South Wales champion at the Town Hall on , Monday evenin-: both men having great knock-out record-, to their credit. Costa has scored wins by the short route in 11 of !! his 21 successes. Opponents who have beaten 11 him are such exceptional performers as "Darkie" Blandon. the Australian champion and prospect for the world's title, and John Peters, the clever Eng- ■ lishman. Costa is recognised as the best bantam-weight produced in New South Wales for years, and Australian critics have been loud in his praises, both as a brilliant boxer and a great puncher. In his on* contest in New Zealand so far he scored a knock-out win over Wright, the official New Zealand champion. Against Taylor, however, who has a rightful claim to the title in that he has never been beaten „for it, has never refused to defend it* and has never retired, Costa will meet "tltt opposition. The Aucklander has revealed all his Bpeed, his cleverness and his exceptional punching power in his gymnasium work-outs.
