COMPANY INQUIRY
COMMISSION IN SYDNEY MORE AUDITORS APPOINTED SYDNEY, August 14 An unexpected development in connection with the Royal Commission which is inquiring into the activities of 17 trust companies occurred this morning when the commission resumed its sittings six days before the date originally fixed. The commissioner, Mr. Justice rlalse Rogers, said the sitting had been called to decide the question of appointing inpendent auditors to assist the Auditor-General's officers who had declared that their investigations could not be completed in the time allowed. With the agreement of counsel two independent auditors were then appointed. Mr. W. Monahan, K.C., who is assisting the commissioner, said that when the commission resumed its sittings next Monday he would have other witnesses to examine. The commission adjourned until Monday.
