WOMEN'S DIVISION
Reports of branches of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union are as follows: Auckland. —The report of the stall activities of the branch at the Winter Show, presented by the treasurer, Mrs. Appleby, showed a small profit,. Mrs. Hoey, the convener of the visiting committee, reported visits paid to country members who had been in hospital in Auckland. Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. R. S. Judson, the delegates to the conference recently held in Wellington, each gave a resumo of different activities. The report presented by Mrs. W. H. Ward, Dominion president at the conference, was read to tho meeting. Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell presided. Creek. —Mrs. R. M. Protide presided at the branch meeting. The secretary's resignation was received with regret. Mrs. G. Kennedy, Mrs. Wolfe and the president were appointed as delegates to .the provincial Executive meeting. The competition for the best vase of flowers' was won by Mrs. Hutchinson, and for a collection of match boxes, Mrs. Wright and Miss Wright tied for first. Miss Christian demonstrated how to dress and prepare a fowl for the table.
