ACTIVITIES AT TAURANGA [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA. Tuesday Eight applications were received the Taurangii Agricultural and Pastoral Association for the position of secretary and treasurer, and Mr. A. S. Voss was appointed. A vote of thanks was accorded the Borough Council for making a rebate on rates for tho Roberts Street showground. Mr. S. D. Barr, who is in charge of the agricultural section of the Tauranga District High School, suggested that some steps might be taken to further a calf club in connection with the new agricultural course. A committee was set up to go into the matter and report to the executive committee. THE WAIKATO BODY PAVILION FOR STUD SHEEP [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday The Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Society has undertaken the erection of a pavilion for stud sheep at its show grounds at Claudelands. The pavilion, which is in course of erection, will be 96ft. long by 48ft. wide, an 3 will bo equipped with 100 pens capablo of accommodating 500 sheep. Tho building is situated near tho sale pavilion, and will be ready for us® in a few weeks' time. m
