PIANO STUDENTS
"Technical Difficulties" formed the programme which was presented at a meeting of the Auckland Piano Students' Association, held last evening. Among the items which were presented were two Chopin etudes, played by Miss Joyce Parker and Miss Matthews respectively. A trill study and a staccato chord study were played by Sir. F. Morton. Of particular interest were three studies for the left hand alone. The first (by Spindler) was played by Miss E. Nops, and the two others (one by Grenlich and the other by Czerny) were played by Miss Pearl Wallace. A short "extract entitled "Technique Versus Interpretation" was another interesting item.
