, BENEFIT FROM REST HON. A. HAMILTON'S PLANS [mi TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER} "WELLINGTON, Monday The Hon. A. Hamilton, who has been resting at his home in Invercargill for the past fortnight, returned to Well* ington yesterday morning. He attended a meeting of the Cabinet this afternoon in order to obtain the viewpoint , of the Government on tourist development, a subject which is to be discussed at a representative conference in Wellington on Thursday. Mr. Hamilton, who is already feeling the benefit of his rest, intends to enter hospital for an operation at the end of this week. He anticipates he will be about two weeks in hospital, after which lie will again return to Invercargill. The Post and Telegraph Department and the Tourist Department are still being administered by Mr. Hamilton and he will continue in the meantime to deal with official business connected with these departments. He had a brief interview to-day with the DirectorGeneral of the Post Office, Mr. G. MoNamara, who returned to New Zealand from abroad last week, and will discuss with him again to-morrow matters arising out of Mr. McNamara's visit to the Postal Congress in Cairo and his consultations with postal ,authorities at Home,
