CLAIMS IN ENGLAND RESTORATION OF CUTS CONFERENCE ADJOURNED By Telenraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 10, 8.15 p.m.) Briiish Wireless RUGBY, August- 9 A conference way held to-day between representatives of the three railwaymen's trades unions and the general managers of four railway groups. It lasted three hours and was then adjourned until • to-inorrow. Claims were made by the unions for a discontinuance of the economy cuts made in 1931, and other matters were discussed.
Press reports state that tentative proposals were the companies which will be discussed when the meet" ing is resumed.
