GIFT OF RUSKIN'S WORKS A gift has been made by Mr. A. T. Bothairlev, of Wellington, to the Turnbull Library of the 180 l edition, in three volumes, of Ruskin's "Stories of Venice," in full calf binding, with all the architectural illustrations m line, colour and etching. This is the chief of Ruskin's works devoted to architecture, and is an analysis of the fine building of St Mark's at Venice. Some time since, Mr. Bothamley presented to thes library some hundreds of parchment-deeds, all relating to onp estate, and including deeds of a monastery founded in 1146. The deeds date chiefly from the time of Elizabeth onward, and are valuable from a paragraphic point of view, furnishing examples of very many styles of. handwriting extending over about four centuries.
