MEAT INDUSTRY
The Queensland Meat Industry Board has received a report from London according the highest praise to all concerned for the wonderful results obtained in the initial shipment of chilled beef from Queensland by the Idomeneuß. The report stated it bad created a tremendous impression among all interests in the meat trade in England. There was no sign whatever of mould, and thp colour was excellent. The report, after dealing in detail with the consignments and chilling methods used, concluded by stating: "We all along felt that chilled meat would be the only means of savings the position from the cattle raisers' viewpoint, as the demand for frozen meat becamo less and less each year, until, to-day, apart from army and navy contracts, it is almost unsaleable."
