NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE INCREASING SHIPMENTS LONDON, August 7 To mark the resumption of direct meat shipments to Hull, the High Commissioner for New Zealand, Sir James Parr, visited the steamer Westmoreland to-day. He said ho wanted to seo nwre and more direct contact and mentioned that the discharges of' lamb, butter and cheese at Glasgow had increased 200 per cent in six years. Butter and cheese landed at the five largest western ports had almost trebled in seven years.
Sir James attended a luncheon given jointly by the Dominion Dairy and Meat Boards in the Guildhall, Hull. The deputy-Mayor described the occasion as a red-letter day in the history of Hull.
