SHIPPING, MAILS AND WEATHER

THE WAIHEMO The Waihewo is expected to leave Newcastle to-day for Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is dije here next Wednesday. At Wellington she will bo withdrawn for overhaul and survey. THE KALINGO The Kalingo is to load at Newcastle about next Wednesday and she will complete loading at Sydney for Auckland, 2sapier and Greymouth TANKER ECLIPSE The tanker Eclipse left San Francisco on July 28 with bulk motor spirit for discharge at Suva, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is due at Wellington about August 26. THE GOLDEN STATE The American steamer Golden State cleared Los Angeles on Sunday with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. She is due at Auckland about August Ji. THE WAITAKI The Waitnki was to leave Melbourne yesterday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttel on and Wellington. The vessel is due at Bluff next Monday and at Wellington the following Thursday. THE CANADIAN BRITISHER The Canadian Britisher was scheduled to leave Montreal on Sunday for Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports, bile is due at Auckland about September 13. THE TAI-ROA The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa, which ir loading at Central Wharf, is scheduled to sail for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain at daybreak to-morrow. THE BRISBANE MARU The Japanese motor-sliip Brisbane Mam is scheduled to arrive from Japan, via Australia and Wellington, at mid-day to-day. She will discharge and load at Prince's Wharf. THE WAIPAHI The Waip&hi is to leave Suva for Auckland on August 16 and she is due here on August 21. From Auckland the vessel will return to Newcastle and Sydney to load again for Fiji. THE INTERBANK Having completed unloading a. raw sugar cargo from Java at Chelsea the motor-ship Inverbank sailed for Fiji yesterday afternoon to load raw sugar for Great Britain. THE GABRIELLA The Gabriella, which is unloading at Dunedin, is scheduled to load at Newcastle about August 23 and she will complete loading at Sydney for Wanganui. RUAHJINE CLEARED PANAMA The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the liner Ruahine arrived at Panama and cleared Colon on Sunday, in continuation of her voyage from Auckland to London. She was despatched from Auckland on July 14. MONTEREY'S BERTH The Monterey, -which is due from Los Angeles, via. Island ports, to-morrow morning, will berth at King's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand. She is scheduled to sail for Sydney and Melbourne at five o'clock to-morrow evening. HAURAKI,. WAIMEA AND WAIPIATA The Union Company's motor-ship Hauraki and the steamers Waimea and Waipiata were further delayed yesterday by the eeamen'e dispute, and their departure for Wellington, Gisborne and Portland respectively was postponed until to-day. TEKOA FROM LIVERPOOL The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tekoa arrived from Liverpool yesterday morning, having experienced generally fair weather on the voyage. The vessel is unloading cargo from West Coast pOrfs of Great Britain at Queen's Wharf, and she is to sail for Wellington. Lyttelton end Dunedin on Tuesday to complete discharge. v NIAGARA NEARING VANCOUVER The Royal Mail liner Niagara is scheduled to reach Vancouver from Auckland to-morrow, and she will leave Vancouver next Wednesday morning for Honolulu, Suva and Auckland. The vessel is due at Auckland on Monday, September 3, and she is to sail for Sydney the following day CANADIAN HIGHLANDER'S MISHAP The Canadian Highlander has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive from Montreal on Sunday. The advice also states that she htis lost a propeller blade and is steaming at reduced speed. At noon yesterday she was 765 mil?s from Auckland. The vessel has general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. NORTHERN COMPANY'S VESSELS Owing: to the seamen's dispute the departures of the Northern Company's vessels yesterday were cancelled, and they are to leave to-day, the Tuhoe for Northern ports, the Omana for Matakana, the Hauiti for Thames, and the Motu for Tauranga. From Onehunga the Hauturu is to sail for New Plymouth at noon, and the Ronaki for Hokianga at 2 p.m. The Hauiti is to leave Auckland for Coromandel at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow, and there will not be a Thames trip that day. TB!E PORT NICHOLSON In continuation of her voyage from England to New Zealand, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Nicholson cleared Port Kembla for Timaru on Tuesday. The vessel is in ballast and will load at Timaru, Ljttelton, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. She is scheduled to leave Auckland for London and West Coast portei of Great Britain on September 5. The Faimerß' Co-operative Auctioneering Company are the local agents.
