WINTER COMPETITIONS The Aucklnnd Amateur Athletic Club held .its Usui;! weekly competitions on Saturday afternoon in (ho Outer Domain in spite of tho weather. The 75yds aprint was again closely contested in threo heats and final, which was won by J. H. Angelo off the 4}yds mark. The (1000 yds steeplechase vat tt good race between the mid-distance men, tho scratch man, J. W, Savidan, who wan conceding Up to 300 a start, and G. Hill on 30s. J. Dunn. 1755, ra:i consistently and won by 6s from Hill, with Taylor and Savidan close up. Owing to. tho heavy track times were slow. R. Munro waa in good form and won both the field events.
