PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST

AUCKLAND CLUB'S SUCCESS BLEDISLOE CUP WON The Blcdisloe Cup, presented by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, for 'competition in the New Zealand interclub annual photographic exhibition, which was conducted in Auckland this, year, has been won by the Auckland Camera, Club, with an aggregate of 1120 points. This is the fourth year in succession in which an Auckland club /has gained most points. Following; are the points gained by the other clubs competing:—Aucklnnd Camera Pi'ctorialists, 1071; Dunedin Camera Club, 1048; Wellington Camera Club, 953; Invercargill Camera Club, 908; Chrisl;church Camera Club, 628. Each club exhibited 12 prints. In the opinion of tho judges, Messrs. J. Weeks, ID. J. Payne and S. Champ, a very high general standard was evident, indicating that pictorial photo-

grapby was making definite progress in ' the Dominion. The exhibit of Mr. I). F. Lyons, of the Auckland Camera Pictorialists, was judged the best print on display, being one of the six exhibits whieiti were allotted the maximum of 100 points. The other five exhibits'were displayed by Miss 0. Lloyd and Mr, P. S. Herbert, of the A uckland Camera Club t Mr. Spencer Digby, of the Wellington Club, and Mr. W. E. Johnson and Mr. Graham Riley, of the Dunedin Cl'ub. An exhibition of tho photographs entered for competition will be opened ail; the Milne and Choyce Reception Kail to-morrow evening by the Mayor, Mr G. W. Hutchison.
