TAURANGA ASSOCIATION [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Wednesday The Tauranga Hookey Association's midweek competitions were continued this afternoon in fine weather. The Press Cup for men's teams resulted as follows; True Blues, 4, v. Rovers, 0; Veterans v. Triers, a draw, 1 eaeb. The match for the Merry Weather Cup /or girls' teams resulted:— Y.M.P., 7, v. Old Girls, 2; Triers, a bye. WHANGAREI LADIES' SUCCESS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGARSI, Wednesday The Hannain Shield wos retained to-day by tho Whangarei lady hockey representatives. who drew with Dargaville, 3 goals all. Goals were scored for Whangarei by Misses Finlnyson, E. Simons and U, Hirtzel. For Dargaville the scorers were Misses Randall, P. Jones and G. Tremain.
