OPOTIKI NEWS
The Opotiki District High School held its annual ball on Thursday night and the evening was a great success. Credit was due to members of tho teaching staff for tho very capable way in which the function was carried through. The children gave some excellent examples of folk dancing which appeared to be much appreciated by tho large number of parents and friends present. The Mayor, Mr. G. S. Moody, presented the two senior champion athletic cups, given by himself and Mr. J. J. Moody, to Miss G. Burrett (girls) and Master K. Fleming (boys).
