CHARGE OF FRAUD
DESIRE TO "SHOW OFF" [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday A desire to impress people and to "show off" was what mado John Frederick Amos wear a clerical collar, according to facts put before tho Police Court this morning by his counsel, Mr. Russell. Amos, aged 21 years, described as a minister of religion,_ was charged that he imposed on a private individual by fraudulent representations with a view to obtaining money. The caso was adjourned a month ago, And to-day Amos was admitted to probation for two years*
