Tho discussion followed an incident ou a Wellington ground on Saturday, when a referee was struck twice in tho face by a spectator, who, when ordered to leave tho ground, refused to do so. Mr. Prendeville said that on grounds like reserves tho union had no control over spectators and even on a ground where charges were made it was very difficult to bar anybody from entering provided they had tendered the entrance foe.
