MILFORD GIRL GUIDES

A SUCCESSFUL DANCE A splendid effort on behalf of the Milford Girl Guides was made by their committee at a dance held at tho Pirate Ship at Milford on Saturday to raise funds for tho company. Branches of golden wattle were everywhere to bo seen, this also being used effectively on the supper tables, relieved with bowls of violets. Tho ladies' committee comprised:—Mrs. C. H. Kingsford, who wore a frock of black georgette with embossed coatee; Mrs. A. F. Gooding, silver grey marocain with scarlet poppy design; Mrs. Christensen, kingfisher blue flat crepe; • Mrs. F. H. Morton, lapis blue windswept craquello crepe; Mrs. Scales, purple taffeta; Mrs. Mollard, black and gold frock; Mrs. R. Phillips, black flat crepe; Mrs. D. M. Davidson, powder blue crepe do chine; Mrs. Mahon, Naples bluo marocain; Miss Morton, claret georgette and parchment lace. Among tho dancers were: —Mrs. Guy Masfen, who wore a frock of bluo figured ninon; Mrs. Stuart Mackay, electric blue crepe satin; Mrs. Sinalo, cherry crinkled crepe; Mrs. Waterhouse, autumn shaded floral chiffon; Mrs. Eric Wiseman, black and pink sprigged taffeta; Mrs. H. R. Lister, black chiffon velvet; Mrs. Ward, lemon beaded georgette; Mrs. Mander, ivory lace; Mrs. J. Hopkins, cream satin; Mrs. Tidman, ivory frilled net and satin; Miss May Christensen, water " green georgette; Miss E.
