THREE EASY VICTORIES ANOTHER WIN FOR MARIST Thick mud hampered play in the third series of matches in the second round of the Auckland Rugby Union's senior B division on Saturday afternoon, yet the three games played were interesting. Against? Eden f College Rifles held a general territorial advantage, and gained victory by 16 poiVsts to 6, much of tho credit being due to the backs. Marist, a team unbeaten in tho round, was matched against Grammar Old Boya B, which it defeated by 23 points to 3. All Marist's points were scored during the first spell, and tho Grammar team, which included several second-grade players, showed marked improvement in the second spell. Heavier and more experienced than its opponents, Grammar defeated North Shore at Devonport by 22 points to 0. Eden is still leading for the championship of the division, and Marist, having so far obtained the most points in the second round, leads for promotion to tho senior A division.
