BULK POWER CHARGES
DIFFERENCE IN RATES PROTEST AT PUKEKOHE • [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Thursday The differentiation in the Public Works Department's charges to power hoards for bulk electricity was a matter brought up at last evening's meeting of the Pukckohe Borough Council by Mr, G. T. Parvin. He said that not only were the rates charged city and country boards different, but the 5 per cent rebate which was allowed other boards m the Auckland district was withheld from the Waitemata and Franklin Boards. The council resolved to send an emphatic protest to the Prime Minister, the lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes, the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. J. Bitchener, and the member of Parliament for the district, Mr. J. N. Massey, against the delay in equalising charges.
