BOSTON ROAST
A correspondent has sent the following directions for making Boston Roast Ingredients, two cupfuls of cooked beans, one onion, one cup of brown bread crumbs, two cups of grated cheese, two small teaspoons of salt, half a cup of gravy or stock, and dripping. Soak beans over night and then cook them until soft. Drain well and chop up finely. Cut the onion into slices, brown them in hot fat, and add gravy or stock. Then add all the other ingredients and shape into a square loaf. Put ioto a baking dish with dripping, and bake in a moderate oven three-quarters of an hour. Basto occasionally and servo with thick brown gravy.
