REDUCTION IN CHARGES RANGES AND HEATERS [by telegraph—OWN" correspondent] TE KUITI, Tuesday Tho Waitomo Electric-Power 13oard yesterday adopted a report prepared by the secretary and engineer on a range load building scheme. > The report stated that, although there was a considerable industrial and milking load, progress with ranges had been slow, and it was therefore desirable to build up a considerable rango load to offspt the other load. It was recommended that the cooking tariff be reduced to an all-round rate of Id a unit net. The present charge is lid for the first 200 units and tho balnnco at Id. The water heating rate for heaters used in conjunction with electric ranges, up to 600-watt element on a time switch, is to bo £4 10s per annum instead of £6.
The alterations in the tariff will come into effect on November 1.
