INJURED PLAYER

MEMORY OF EVENTS LOST It is probably news to many of the spectators who witnessed the Soccer game between Auckland and Wellington oil Saturday that Watson, the Auckland halfback, who was responsible for a very sound exhibition, was unconscious of the fact that he took part in the latter stages of the game. He received an injury early and remembered little or nothing of what occurred after the interval. This is by no means a unique case, however, as many instances can be recalled of players receiving temporary concussion and playing on without being aware of the fact. In many such cases the player concerned, although acting subconsciously, played brilliantly.
