INSPECTORS' SUGGESTIONS A report was received at a meeting of the Mantikau County Council yesterday from the traffic inspector, Mr. F. .Jones, that he had attended the conference of traffic inspectors in Wellington on .Line 19 and 20. Several of the proposals approved, if adopted and made law would be beneficial to the county.

Those included prohibiting cyclists riding more than two abreast, limiting vehicles u ith trailers to a maximum of ;i0 miles an hour, adjustment of lighting-up time, modification and simphfying of the form of renewal for driving licences, giving county authorities power to appoint inspectors special constables in order to arrest intoxicated or incapacitated drivers, extension of power to authorities to control other than motor traffic, amendment of the present regulations regarding tho failure of vehicle owners to supply information and increasing tho size of motor-cycle numbers.
