RESIGNATION OF MEMBER flie resignation has been received of Mr. 1?. Dennen as a member of tho Birkenhead Borough Council, owing to ill-health. The procedure to fill the vacancy rests with the Borough Council, which has the option of holding an election or appointing a qualified person. To avoid the cost of an election, it is probable that the latter course will be followed.
