NEW FILTRATION PLANT A report was received from the County engineer, Mr. J. R- P a R e « a meeting of the Manukau County Council yesterday, that the new filtration plant at Mangere had been completed and put into operation. Since it came into operation only with the auxiliary supply, it had been very little used, the water in the main well having been sufficient for all purposes recently. Since the establishment of the filtrationp _» both compartments of the rese > and also the settling tank, had been cleaned, tfnd the system was now \ tually refilled with clean water. .
