TRAGIC EXPLOSION
FRENCH SAILORS KILLED SCENE ON A DESTROYER TOULON, July 13 When the French destroyers Vautour and Albatros returned from target practice the gunnery lieutenant on the Vautour ordered a charge to be withdrawn from a gun from which it had not been fired. The shell exploded during the operation, transforming the forecastle of the Albatros into a shambles and killing two and wounding one of the sailors.
