PAKURANGA HUNT
GOOD DAY'S SPORT An enjoyable day's sport was experienced by the Pakuranga Hunt, which xjiet oa Saturday at Kelly's Corner, Papatoetoe. There was a very large muster. The hounds threw off 011 to Mr. S. Fergusson's property and worked through to Mr. Muir's farm, where they put up a hare. It went away very fast. across PuhinviRoad, making in the direction of Mr. E. Clayton's farm and then working toward Mr. Waters' farm, where the scent was lost. Working along a creek, the hounds put up another hare, which was killed befo.e it got very far. Another hare was put up and took the field for a good run across Mr. Waters' farm, and on to the properties of Mr. N. Matthews and Mr. McKerris. The haro went up a hill to Redoubt Road, where the hounds niado another kill. The field went on to Mr, A. Swaf&eld's property, and worked around until another hare was put up. It took the field for a good hunt and went on to Redoubt and was lost in some gorse country. The hounds then threw off on to Mr. P. Wyman's property and worked through to Mrs. Clapham'g place, where a strong hare was put up. It ran back across the farms of Messrs, Wymnn and Waters, and, crossing Flatbush Road, went on to tho properties of Messrs. B. Stonex, G. Gillard and L. Gillard, In this run, numbers of big jumps over ditches and gorse hedges were encountered. The hare was eventually lost, but two* fresh hares got up.
