MATAMATA CLUB SUCCESSFUL PAST YEAR [from OUR OWN cortrespondent] MATAMATA, Saturday The report presented at the annual meeting of the Matamata Jersey- Club showed that the year had been a most successful one. The sum of £3l 15s had been contributed to the Agricultural and Pastoral Association as prize-money and the credit balance was £l4. The following officers were elected: — President, .Mr. 11. Lewis; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. H. Mouldey, J. F. Vosper, S. J. Robinson, S. Brooks and J. 10. Barker; secretary and treasurer, Mr. M. E. Gould; executive, Messrs. H. J. Barford, M. Peffers, R. K. Garland, W. Mears and E. 11. Bold; auditor, Mr. P. Catchpole. .It was decided to hold the annual bull sale on September 17 and that entries be limited to 120. The president donated a cup for the best cow owned by a member which put up the best record under either O.H.T. or C.0.11. tests. The cup could bo won outright by two successes running or three times at intervals.
MORRINSVILLE ACTIVITIES RE-ELECTION OF OFFICERS [FltOil OUR OWN correspondent] MORRINSVILLE, Saturday Another year of progress was reviewed at the second annual meeting of the Morrinsville Jersey Cattle Club. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £lO. Members joined in paying tributes to the services of Mr. C. S. Leggett, who has been president of the club since it was formed, and ho was unanimously elected to the office for a further term. All the members of the executive, Messrs. J. J. Goodwin, J. K. Watson, J. H. Sanders, W. A. Southee, T. McMillan and A. J. Freegard, were re-elected.
