THE ASSOCIATION GAME CHALLENGE MATCH DRAWN A challenge Soccer match was played between teams representing Pukemiro and the Auckland Hospital Clubs on Saturday, resulting in a draw, neither side scoring. Both sides were sjow in settling down, and the first half was somewhat tame. Bennie, D. Robinson, and Healey made valiant attempts to open Pukemiro's score, but J. Gavan was very safe in Hospital's goal. Play brightened up in the second spell and Pukemiro had the territorial advantage. Showier and Res* broke up many Pukemiro raids and sent Hampstead away, but Martin and Lawson, of Pukemiro, were a sound pair of backs. Johnston and Bryce combined nicely, and Hospital's goal underwent a steady siege in the closing stages, bat J. Gavan gave an outstanding exhibition save his side from defeat A win to Pukemiro would have been a pood indication .of the play. Mr. J. C. Sibbin was referee.
