ELECTION OF OFFICERS [FEOH OtJE OWN COEBESPOITDEXT] KUMEU, Saturday The annual meeting of the Kurneu District Agricultural and Horticultural Society was well attended. Mr. J. Winchester presided. In his annual report the president paid the society was now in a strong financial position. Not only had show day been a great success, but the many other activities conducted by the society had all contributed to the present good position.
Ihe election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. H. C. Meikle; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. P. Kinloch, W. Malins and L, Gillespie; secretary, Mr. W. B. Patterson; treasurer, Mr. W. Rpdgor; auditor, Mr. R, D. Neil; rommittee, Messrs. H. Lancaster, W. Nixon, F. Kinloch, H. Jenkins, T. Pook, J. R. Hill, J. Spinley, R. Harris, P. Cane, W. E. Garry, C. Glogloski, \V. Leslie, R. Woolfe, H. Brackenridge, D. Hi}l, W. L. Sinton, D. Hills, G. Bright, M. Higgins and J. Radford. The retiring president, Mr. J. Winthesterj was elected a life member..
