RESOLUTIONS AT PUKEKOH E [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Saturday A resolution urging that the Church and community generally should give greater support to the League of Nations, and all for which it stands, was passed at a meeting of the Presbytery of South Auckland, at Drury this week. The meeting also carried the following resolutions: —"That it is our conviction that modern warfare is abhorrent to the mind of Christ," and "That tho New Zealand Government bo urged to do all that is possible, by conference and other methods, to further a better understanding between tho peoples of tho world; and that the Go\eminent he urged to consider in this connection the matter of tariffs and trade relations generally."
Ifc was also decided that the Presbyterian Assembly's public questions committee should be asked to prepare a statement dealing with tho various aspects of the situation, to bo submitted to presbyteries, sessions find congregations for consideration and report.
