G. WALKER AND ALI BEY Exciting wrestling is anticipated at the Town Hall this evening, when George Walker and Ali Bey, the Turk, have been matched by the Auckland Wrestling Association. 'The bout promises to be one of the best witnessed this season. Aggressive in his methods, the Turk has proved himself a fine wrestler since coming to New Zealand. His strength and ring-craft should make him a worthy opponent for the New Zealand champion. A*tcr a fairly poor Btarfc this season Walker appears to be reaching his best form and he should be keen to improve on his rather lean record to date. Waugh (Community Sunshine), 9st lllb. DETTON DEFEATS SANTEN [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH. Sunday Dean Detton dofeated Charles Santen in a lively bout oy two falls to one. Santen gained the first fall in the second round with a body press after a series of flying tackles. Detton evened in the fifth round with a back loop slam. Detton gained the deciding fall in the sixth with a body press following dropkicks.
