MINING CLAIM TENURE
FORFEITURE SOUGHT . HEARING NOT CONCLUDED [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] PAEROA. "Wednesday There was a long sitting of the Warden's Court at Paeroa yesterday in connection with applications by Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines, Limited (Mr. C. N. O'Neill) and by Athol Dally, miner, of Karangahako (Mr. E. J. Clendon) for the forfeiture of the Crown Mine special quartz claim of 51 acres, on the grounds that the holder of the licence, Mr. J. N. Cherry (Mr. R. S. Card) had not complied with the working conditions. Much law on the point was quoted. As there was an argument as to the priority of applications, due to the Warden's office not being open on an advertised day, the two applications were taken together and consequently proceedings became very involved. The hearing was adjourned until July 11.
