PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
THE CHARGE AT KAIKOHE [by telegraph—own correspondent] KAIKOHE. Wednesday That the Presbyterian Church in tho Bay of Islands district is more than holding its own even in these difficult times was proved by the reports presented at the annual congregational meeting held in tho Kaikoho Church last night. There were present the Rt. Rev. D. D. Scott, moderator of the General Assembly, the Rev. J. A. Thomson, moderator of the Auckland Presbytery, as* well as the Rev. C Brierl.v, moderator of tho Bay of Islands charge. The minister stationed at Kaikohe, the Rev. W. T. Brabyn, holds regular services at 11 places, Kaikohe, Okaihau, East Okaihau, Utakura, Waihou Valley, To Ahuahu, Taheke, Mntaraua, Waimatcnui, Tutamoe, and Kerikeri, the territory covering 40 miles from north to south. In referring to tho reports submitted, the Rev. C. Briorly, of Hikurangi,' who presided, remarked that there was a far brighter and more optimistic tone in the reports than in those presented at tho previous year's meeting. Addresses were delivered by tho Rt. Rev. D. D. Scott, the Rev. J. A. Thomson, and Mr. McCallum, of Whakapara.
