MAN G ON UI COUNTY EFFECT OF RECENT FLOODS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] KAITAIA, "Wednesday 0 A survey of the damage done to roads in the Mangonui County through the recent floods has now been made by the county engineer, and an application to the Government for a special grant to repair the damage has been forwarded. The total cost is estimated at £550. Of this, £3OO is for the Kohumarn Road, which suffered the greatest damage. Duncan Itoad will take £l5O to repair. A bridge over the Kaitaia River has collapsed owing to the flood undermining the banks. The bridge was 60ft-. long, but , if rebuilt will require to be 'Boft., and the cost will be nearly £SOO.
