RAPID PROMOTION
_ A member of the New Zealand division of the Royal Navy, who entered the Navy as a boy on the Philomel in 1923, Petty-Officer Telegraphist Halson Philpott, has been promoted to the rank of Acting-Warrant Telegraphist. His rise to his present rank has been an unusually rapid one.
