RICHMOND BEATS PONSON.BY FAST MATCH WITNESSED DEVONPORT AND MARIST WIN The third scries of matches in the second round of the Auckland ltugby League's senior championship was played at Carlaw Park on Saturday under good conditions, .Richmond, the leading team, maintaining its unbeaten record by defeating Ponsonby in a fast and interesting game. In a good cur-tain-raiser Devonport took the honours from Newton, while on the No. 2 ground tho improving Marist team proved too good for City. There was a good attendance of spectators, including the jury in the Bayly trial, who were present for tho second week in succession. Results were as follows: — Richmond, 26; Ponsonby, 10.
