SELECTING NEW SECRETARY [from OUR OffN correspondent] , PpivEKOHE, Saturday The 89 applications received for tho position of secretary to the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society were read through at a meeting of tho society executive last evening and divided into three' groups, reducing the number to a workable one. The first two groups will be again considered at a further meeting of the executive next Friday evening, when it is hoped to reduce the names to about four, from which the final selection will be made.
