BANDMASTER APPOINTED
POSITION AT WESTPORT [FROM OUR OWN correspondent") HAMILTON, Sunday Mr. M. K. Mara, of Frankton, has been appointed bandmaster of the Westport IMunicipal Band. Mr. Mara has had 40 years' experience as a cornet player and bandsman, and has been associated with bands in South Canterbury and Hamilton. He was bandmaster at Hamilton for a period. Mr. Mara is the holder of njanv trophies. He has lived in Hamilton for the last 11 years.
