WAIKATO WINTER SHOW
GRATIFYING PATRONAGE PRIZE-WINNERS' CONCERT EXHIBITION CLOSES TO-NIGHT [from our own correspondent! HAMILTON, Sunday "The attendances at the Waikato Winter Show to date exceed thoso for tho corresponding five days of last year's fixture," said the president, Mr. W. E. Clark, last evening. Mr. Clark expressed hitnsolf as being thoroughly gratified with the support given to tho exhibition by tho public. Tho wet weather on Friday and yesterday did not deter tho people from attending in large numbers. Tho show will close to-morrow night. Many farmers were interested in tho pig carcases on exhibition, and were given an excellent demonstration of the effects good and bad treatment had on the finished article. Tho ideal typo of carcase was displayed alongside one which was defective. Dressed lambs suitable and unsuitable for oxport were also on view. A successful concert, given by prizewinners in the elocutionary, vocal and instrumental competitions conduetod by the association, was held last evening, and was well-attended.
