MOTOR NUMBER-PLATES
A false impression that owners of motor vehicles aro not required to fit new registration plates until after tho King's Birthday week-end i? abroad in Auckland, according to the Automobile Association. Tho new numberplates, which are obtainable at present, may not be used legally until Juno 1, but owners who operate vehicles with the present plates after May 31 are liable to prosecution.
