LATEST OVERSEAS ARRIVALS REAPPEARANCE OF WALKER Three more wrestlers, to add to the already fin© list of mat-men under contract to the New Zealand "Wrestling Association, arrived by the Mariposa on Friday. They are "NVong Buck Cheung, a Chinese, who had his first match on Monday at tho Town Hall against Dr. F. Meyer, Dan Kolofl', the powerful American whose performances are well known in the Dominion, and Dean Detton, another American. Detton is the only one of the three new arrivals who has appeared in Now Zealand before. Koloff, who is reputed to bo one of the strongest wrestlers at present iu the sport', is a man of exceptionally commanding physique. Ho weighs about 17st. and has a magnificent breadth of chest and exceptional development. He should prove a very popular exponent. Much is expected of Wong Buck Cheung, who is looked upon as a coming world's champion. In spite of his youth, he has already built up an enviable record against some of tho best men in the sport, his strength, knowledge of the holds and agility making him a formidable opponent. Prior to coming to New Zealand he completed a strenuous season in the United States, where he had a particularly spectacular bout with Gus Sonnenberg, the exworld's champion, who was fully extended in lowering the colours of the Chinese by two falls to one. Dean Detton, who wrestled here two years ago, is reported as a much improved wrestler. Sinco his absence from New Zealand, he has accumulated a great amount of experience, and is expected to prove one of the most colourful wrestlers in the Dominion. Like Sonnenberg, the flying tackle is his forte, and he has perfected this means of offence.

Detton, who is 2G years of age, and weighs close on 15st., in recent matches has drawn with Sonncnbcrg, lost to Joe Savoldi, and secured victories over Sammy Stein, the American Hebrew star, Bob Krusc and Ad Santel.

The proposed matching of the British Empire champion, George Walker, and the Frenchman. Michot, at the Town Hail next Monday evening, is arousing considerable interest. Walker is said to bo in first-class training and his reappearance at tho Town Hall will bo a welcome one for his many supporters who arc anxious to see how ho fares against tho contingent from overseas. Michot is a very fast wrestler who revels in hard work. Prior to straining his neck in the match against Meyer in Wellington ho is reported as having had a comfortable lead on points. He is now fully recovered and eager to wrestle again.
