Mr. W..E. Barnard, M.P. for Napier, .arrived in Auckland by yesterday morning's express. Tho Hon. G. J. Smith, M.L.C., of Christchurch, left for Wellington bv'the limited express last evening. Sir George Fowlds left for Palinerston North last evening to attend a meeting at Massey Agricultural College. Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P. for Auckland Suburbs, returned from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. Mr. .T. A. C. Allum left by tho limited express last evening to attend a meeting in Wellington of the Central Licensing Authority. He expects to return to Auckland on Friday morning. Mr. C. T. P. L'lm, chief pilot of the monoplane Faith in Australia, and Mr. G. U. Allan, co-pilot, will leave for Sydney by the WanganelH on Friday. They will return to New Zealand when repairs .to one of the machine's engines have been completed, and with Mr. P. N. Boulton, engineer, they will then undertake another trantasman flight. Lieutenant-Commander P. A. Berry, whoso term of service in H.M.S. Philomel will shortly expire, will leave Auckland next week on his return to England, via Australia. He will be relieved by Lieutenant-Commander J. T. Lean, who will arrive at Wellington by the Mataroa to-morrow. Lieutenant-Com-mander Lean was formerly in H.M.S. Vega, of the second destroyer flotilla of the Home Fleet.
