NEW BULGARIA
A FASCIST REGIME RISKS OF BOLD COURSE REBELS IN MACEDONIA FEARS OF BLOODSHED By Telegraph—Press Associ'sHon—Copyright (Received May 21. 6.50 p.m.) ... . LONDON, May 21 A message from Sofia states tliat the new Bulgarian regime, set tip as a result of the dramatic coup d'etat, is apparently Fascist. It Trill probably seek a Pan-Slav alliance with Yugoslavia. A nominee chamber of 100 members will replace the Sobranyo (Parliament). The Times says that the coup d'etat involves the suppression of the Macedonian rebels iii the mountains in south-western Bulgaria. That the makers of the coup d'etat have so far avoided bloodshed must be set,-down to their credit, but the obvious risks of the course they followed are bound to arouse the anxiety of their friends in Bulgaria. The Daily Mail, under the heading, " Europe Doing Well," congratulates Bulgaria and Latvia on clearing out "the old gangs." The paper adds, "People are sick of the spectacle of many-tongued demagogy trying to govern their countries." The Belgrade correspondent of the Daily Mail says that Yugoslavia clearly recognises that King Boris' reason for seizing dictatorial power was to liquidate the impossible stalemate between two factions. King Boris runs a terrible risk from the present bold course, which, although directed toward ending a quarter of a century's enmity between Bulgaria and Yugoslavia, sets him at odds against the ruthless Macedonian eomitadjis, who will stop at nothing to prevent the signing of a pact between Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. They will crush King Boris unless he crushes them.
Already Bulgarians and Macedonians, the latter under the leadership of Ivan Mihailoff, are fiercely fighting at Petriteh, which is believed to be Macedonia's secret arsenal.
