WEDDING
LILLEY —HUTCHINSON A marriage was celebrated at Christ. Church, Whangarei, between two of tho oldest and most respected families in the district when Dora, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Hutchinson, of Hiianui. was married to Vernon, only son of Mrs. H. Lilley and the late Air. H. Lilley, of Kamo. The Rev. H. T. Steele, was the officiating minister. The bride, who was escorted by her father, made a charming picture gowned in ivory chiffon velvet, and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies of unusual length. In attendance were Miss Lucy Hutchinson (her sister) and Miss Coral Lillev. Both wore classically cut gowns of sunset shaded chiffon velvet, with moss green hats and shoes, and they carried bouquets of autumn shaded chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Mclvor as best man, and Mr. Noel Hutchinson as groomsman. Mrs. Hutchinson, grandmother of the bride, wore black mervn silk and furs and carried a bouquet of irises and violets. Later Mr. and Mrs Hutchinson held a reception at the Commercial Hotel, Whangarei, Mrs. Hutchinson wearing a Burgundy brown gown and hat to tone. Her bouquet was of gerberas and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Lilley wore a black ensemble and violet hat She carried a bouquet of mauve chrysanthemums. Mr. and Mrs. Lilley left on a motoring tour of the South, the bride travelling in a brown suit. i
