ROAD COMPETITIONS DWtGHTS GOOD EFFORT Ratihg coiulitiohs were madb tlifiieiilt by the presence of a strong westerly wind on Saturday, when the jV'anukau Amateur Cycling Club continued its sei-ies of winter road Gvents. In the junior event over two laps, five miles, nine started. C. T. Dwigllt and G. W. Holland, the scratch riders, save away starts up to 2m 305.. A close finish resulted in 11 ofimann just displa-iing Archer by a length with Macdonald a few lengths baek. A good effort by Tucker enabled him to finish fourth and make the fastest time.
