The strikers are slaughtering their own meat and conducting butchers' and grocery shops, a hairdressing saloon and a boot-repairing depot. As the result the local tradespeople are suffering, and their employees arc losing their employment. This is having a boomerang effect on the union's financial resources. They say it is impossible to expect relief from tho union or from employees of outside trades whose employers arc experiencing a boycott.
