BOMBAY STRIKERS

POLICE F : ORC E D TO FIRE TROUBLE OVER WAGES (Received Hay 17, 5.5 p.m.) CALCUTTA. May 17 The police fired on riotous cotton mill strikers in Bombay yesterday and six were seriously injured. Trouble arose when the management, posted a notice that the strikers would not receive full pay for April owing to their striking without giving notice. The strikers stoned the mill and injured several police officers and constables.
