BAGDAD SAFELY PASSED I STORMS DELAY PROGRESS LANDS ON BASRA HOP (Received May 13, 5.5 p.m.) j BAGDAD. May 12 The Auckland giri flier Miss Jean Batten, who left England last Tuesday on a flight to Australia, arrived at Bagdad* yesterday. Miss Batten left again for Basra, but landed at Shaibah between there and Bagdad, her flight having been delayed by storms.
